Our responsibility today is to ensure the storehouse is stocked when a need arises. This is only accomplished when faithful, willing, cheerful, and committed servants of God honor Him with their first fruits. And the Lord of hosts promises He will open you the windows of heavens, pour you out a blessing, and you shall not have enough room to receive it(Malachi 3:10).

 

Yes, it is true. Tithes and offering are not mentioned in the New Testament. It is also true that tithes and offering is an Old Testament principle. Offering was first mentioned in Genesis 4:1-5 with Cain & Abel. Tithe or tenth was first mentioned in Genesis 14:20 between Abraham & Melchizedek. But Matthew 28:20 make reference to teach them to observe all things whatsoever God has commanded you; which includes the Old Testament of tithe & offering.
